We've recently added some new moving lights to our rental inventory:
16 × Chauvet Rogue R2E Spots
16 × Chauvet Rogue R2X Washes
These fixtures have already found their way onto several of our shows and they've become a go-to option for concerts, worship services, arena events, and other productions where we need a flexible lighting package.
A Good Combination

The R2E Spots and R2X Washes work well together. The spots handle beams, gobos, aerial looks, and texture, while the washes cover the stage with smooth color and plenty of output.
The R2E Spots feature:
Crisp projections and aerial looks
Gobos and prism effects
Motorized zoom and focus
Bright output in a compact fixture
The R2X Washes provide:
Wide color washes
Smooth RGBW color mixing
Fast movement
A generous zoom range
Using both fixture types together gives us a lot of flexibility. We can go from clean stage lighting to bigger concert-style looks without changing the overall lighting package.
Ready for the Road
These fixtures were chosen because they're easy to deploy and fit into a lot of different production styles.
We've used them on:
Flown truss systems
Ground-supported truss
Stage wash and audience lighting
Concert and worship productions
They're equally at home lighting a worship stage, a concert, or a large arena floor.
Control is simple too. Both fixtures support DMX and RDM, making them easy to address, manage, and integrate into our lighting systems.
A Few Specs

Rogue R2E Spot
350-watt LED moving-head spot
Fixed 15.9° beam
Dual gobo and color wheels
Motorized focus, iris, and frost
31.2-pound fixture weight
Rogue R2X Wash
Nineteen 25-watt RGBW LEDs
7.3°–64.3° motorized zoom
Five-zone LED control
Selectable PWM and RDM
22.8-pound fixture weight
We won't turn this into a whole spec sheet but these fixtures pack a lot of capability into a package that's easy to transport, rig, and program.
Building on What We Already Have
These fixtures expand our existing Rogue inventory rather than replace it.
The R2X Wash adds brighter output, a wider zoom range, updated control features, and the ability to better match our older R2 Wash fixtures when both are used in the same rig.
The R2E Spot is also brighter than our older R2 Spots while being smaller and about 15 pounds lighter. That makes a real difference when the crew is unloading, carrying, hanging, and striking sixteen fixtures.
Together, they give us more capacity, stronger output, and a more consistent fixture package for larger shows.
