MFI Pro completed an audiovisual system upgrade as part of the renovation of the DoubleTree by Hilton Concord Downtown. This project was coordinated alongside ongoing construction and focused on modernizing A/V infrastructure across multiple public-facing spaces, including the lobby, ballroom, and restaurant.
The goal was to improve sound quality, simplify day-to-day operation for staff, and coordinate A/V integration alongside the construction team during the hotel’s complete renovation.
Centralized A/V Infrastructure
A centralized A/V rack was installed to support the newly renovated spaces on ground level. While some existing equipment was reused, the system was expanded and modernized with new processing and amplification to improve reliability and flexibility.
Key additions included:
Yamaha Commercial Audio XMV4280 power amplifier with DCH8 card
Yamaha Commercial Audio MTX3 digital signal processor
This approach allowed the hotel to retain usable infrastructure while gaining improved zoning, control, and performance throughout the property.

Lobby Audio Upgrade
The lobby received new ceiling-mounted loudspeakers designed to deliver even, unobtrusive background audio. Speakers were installed in a mix of drywall and ceiling tile locations to accommodate construction conditions while maintaining consistent coverage.
Yamaha Commercial Audio VXC4W ceiling speakers
Wall-mounted Yamaha DCP series controller for simple volume control
The result is clean, evenly distributed audio that enhances the guest experience without drawing attention to the system itself.
Ballroom A/V Improvements

The ballroom audio system was reworked using existing loudspeakers, which were rezoned, rewired, and repositioned to improve coverage and flexibility. The space can be divided into two zones, each with independent control, making it suitable for a wide range of events.
Updates included:
Improved zoning and DSP control
A 98-inch commercial display mounted at the end of the ballroom
HDMI wall connectivity for local presentation sources
Two wireless handheld microphones with stands for presentations and events
These upgrades allow the ballroom to easily support meetings, conferences, and private events without requiring complex setup.
Restaurant & Bar Audio and Video
The restaurant and bar area received a new A/V system designed for everyday operation and flexibility during peak times.
Yamaha Commercial Audio VXC6W ceiling speakers
Yamaha DCP1V4S wall-mounted controller with simple presets
TVs configured for general viewing, including sports during major events

Early coordination during construction allowed speaker placement, cabling, and infrastructure to be cleanly integrated before finishes were complete—resulting in a polished final appearance.
Designed for Renovation-Phase Integration
This project highlights MFI Pro’s experience working within active renovation environments. By coordinating closely with construction timelines and integrating systems before drywall and finishes were completed, the A/V systems were installed efficiently while maintaining a clean, professional result.
The completed upgrade delivers reliable performance, intuitive control for hotel staff, and modern A/V capabilities across the DoubleTree’s shared spaces—supporting both daily operations and special events.
